MADE & CRAFTED

[STYLE] Fashion Editor Pop Kampol and photographer Sarah Brimley review Levi's latest endeavour - a premium line reflecting American workwear and the brand's long standing heritage.

MADE & CRAFTED

Made & Crafted is a premium line from Levi's with designs that reflect iconic American workwear, sportswear and military uniforms. This is a well thought-out collection using new technology with traditional fabrics, dying techniques and high-quality materials.

The clothes have the feel of being well-worn whilst invoking Levi's heritage dating back to the mid 1800s. The label tags are based on the the denim sample swatches that Levi's salesmen used to carry around in the early 1900s.

This week, we've picked some key pieces suited to the change in weather. This basic white shirt is made from high quality oxford cotton and dying technique used gives it a vintage feel. The cardigans are made to last, using high quality wool, and buttons made from compressed cotton - pieces that will see you through many winters - just like denim jeans.

AUTUMN SHADES

[STYLE] Photographer Sarah Brimley and Out There Fashion Editor Pop Kampol show us how to sport stylish shades this fall.

SHOP IT: Dark red round frame sunglasses from MARC by MARC JACOBS | Turquoise and red round frame sunglasses from SMITH

Ok, so maybe we didn't have the Indian summer we were all hoping for in the UK this year. But as we're all part of the international jet-set, we sure that over the next few months you'll be jetting somewhere hot and sunny.

We all want to look really good, but design might not be enough for you if you're looking for protection from those harmful UV rays. Many cheap sunglasses on the market today might not be the right answer when it comes to UV protection. Long-term exposure speeds up ageing of your eyes, and can even lead to cataracts.

So to stay healthy, look for CE mark when buying sunglasses. CE indicates how much protection your sunglasses provide against UV rays. The CE mark usually appears on the leg of the sunglasses alongside the category number code. The European standard rate the UV sunglasses ranges from '0' for insufficient protection, '1' for sufficient, '2' for good, and '3' for full UV protection.

SHOP IT: Dark red with red and green round frame sunglasses from GUCCI | Black

Itʼs time to celebrate the sunshine and pull out your best, most colourful clothes. What could be better than strolling down the street this summer sporting these quintessentially colourful clothes from Lacoste.

Sportswear has never been better with this vibrant palette from Lacoste. Forget the typical sportswear shades of black, white and grey. This French sportswear brand never does anything conventional when it comes to colour. Lacosteʼs summer collection is packed with every shade you can imagine, from acid blue and bright orange to crimson red and lime green. This week Out There picked these hottest shades of the month - blue, green, orange and red. We think this colour-clashing style is fittingly appropriate for the summer season.

But donʼt worry if youʼre not a person who likes to be in the limelight, these awesome pieces also work well worn separately with classic blue denim or simple white trousers. And the good news is that theyʼre on sale now, so why not make an investment. We can promise you that these colourful pieces will last longer than one season, and will definitely come back again next summer for sure - just in time for the Games in 2012.
