THE WORK IS DONE, NOW LET'S PARTY

It's been a hard slog (we love it really) to produce all 212 pages of our second issue, but we are very pleased to announce that the new edition of Out There is flying through the printing presses in Italy and will be available to buy on-line in just a week and in shops world wide very shortly after. (See our subscriptions page for how to get your hands on your own copy).
To celebrate, we are getting into the party mood. This Thursday - 9th Dec we will be with our friends in New York City at PUSSYFAGGOT! at The Delancey. The night is produced by Out There's fairy godmother Earl Dax (pictured) who named the night after a tirade of homophobic abuse he once suffered during an attack. In true Queer style he reclaimed the insults and turned it into the name for a night of unprecedented celebration of Queer talent.
Subtitled, “Homo for the Holidays,” it promises to be an amazing night. Starting at with a reading at 8pm by the acclaimed director Ben Rimalower of his solo show about his longtime relationship with the Broadway diva Patti LuPone, followed by happy hour from 9 to 10pm hosted by East Village Boys featuring a performance from gay goth group B0DYH1GH (Max Steele and Daniel Sander) and visuals by Unnunnu. The night continues with performances by AMASS (Elizabeth Orr and Savannah Knoop), Nath Ann Carrera, Clifton, Philadelphia’s “drag pariah” Needles Jones, Humble Tripe (solo), Glenn Marla, Amber Martin, Bradford Scobie’s ‘Moisty the Snowman,’ Seth Sugar and – direct from Madison, Wisconsin – Shane Shane, all presented by the original fag hag, Penny Arcade. The night also sees the launch of the "PUSSY FAGGOT! Pop Up Boutique" where you can fulfill your gift-giving imperatives for the holidays with the proceedings go to support queer artists!
Other attractions include photographer Liz Liguori in the PUSSYFAGGOT! Portrait Studio, and Nick Hallett hosting an edition of Plantains Karaoke Experience. And they’ll also be celebrating opening night of Justin Bond: Christmas Spells!
If that wasn't enough there is a late night underground set hosted by Jordan Fox with music by DJ Nita. Performers include Kid Akimbo, the emo/punk/goth/house musical project Princess Tiny and the Meats; electronic dance band Tayisha Busay.
Out There's contribution, in association with BURN, will take the form of a video postcard from Queer London’s finest: a selection of short films from La John Joseph, David Hoyle, Bourgeois and Maurice, Jonny Woo, A Man To Pet, Dickie Beau and Darrell Berry.
The following week, Friday 17 Dec, sees our London Launch party 'East meets East' in association with our partners in crime, Sink The Pink at The Bethnal Green Working Men's club where Jonny Woo and friends will be performing in the flesh. It'll be one hell of a night, so get your Qjump tickets now.
